Description

Commission - Illustration for an upcoming book Hallowmas.
Here is a short description of the character:

Clad in the remnants of dead animals, this humanoid grumbles madly to itself and sends wicked sidelong glances in your direction. Excerpt from the book.
(Cat skinners, dog eaters and wearers of dead livestock. These horrifically cruel humanoids guise themselves in animal carcasses to maximizes the terror they inflict on others. They'll gut all the animals on a farm and arrange the corpses in the forms of messages that depict vulgar threats. Those who do not heed these warnings often find their children go missing or their houses on fire. Bugaboo's are obsessive and will pursue victims for years until either they or the victims are all gone. Bugaboo's especially enjoy slaughtering a persons entire family, leaving only one of them to pick up the pieces. Many have sworn a vengeance they may never have since these horrors are quite adept at disappearing and never being heard from again.
Bugaboo's are particularly fond of Hallowmas. At the start of the holiday they participate in a renaming ritual where they change everything about themselves including their habits and victim choices. This ritual even changes the bugaboo's appearance making them indistinguishable from before. This can make it notoriously difficult to locate a particular bugaboo after the holiday has begun.
Bugaboo's with class levels tend to be rangers, rogue or clerics. Those that take cleric levels almost always worship some sort of god of fear or the hunt. Those rare few bugaboo's that take wizard or sorcerer levels focus on necromancy, fear magic or illusions.
A bugaboo stands 4 ½ to 6 ½ ft. tall and weights 150 to 240 lbs. Its features resemble a deformed goblin with gray, to white, to dark brown skin.)
